Life Happened.

First, I would like to say that I passed my Fall 2016 semester with 3 A's and 2 B's! I was so proud of myself. Doing so brought my GPA up to a 3.0 and put me on track for graduation which was May 5th, 2017. For Spring 2017, I took 15 credit hours and passed all of them with a 4.0! That brought my GPA up to a 3.1 That really helped when it came time to apply for scholarships at my new school. So I am proof that even if you mess up in college that through hard work you can recover. If I did, anyone can. So yeah, I graduated in May with my Associate's in Science and now I am headed to a four year university to double major in Healthcare Administration and Psychology with a minor in Business Administration. I will have to spend three years there if I chose one major anyway so I went with both. I love the idea of being a healthcare manager but I also love psychology. Why choose?

To make things greater, I am currently employed as a phone operator at the college I will be attending in the Fall. This makes things cool because they are willingly to pay tuition for half of eight credit hours. That may not seem like much but tuition is expensive. I'm grateful. If I get promoted to full-time (which I plan to), they will pay the whole tuition for the eight credit hours. SCORE! Sad thing is I had to give my three week notice to my old college job because this new job wants all my time. My supervisor told me that I needed to spread my wings and fly. It was time and she was right. I miss her and the crew dearly but I had to go. Besides, I wasn't a student anymore so I wasn't eligible to work there any longer.

I bet you're wondering if I decorated my cap after all that talk I did about it. Well, I did. It wasn't exactly what I wanted but I still loved it. I went to Michael's for everything. I absolutely love pearls so I had to include those on my cap. I must say that graduation night was the best night of my life (yet again) but next graduation, I plan on not wearing heels. I feel like there is so much I'm leaving out from you guys. I planned a trip to Houston, Texas and I ended up going alone! It was an amazing trip. The people are super friendly. They constantly hugged me and gave out compliments. I never felt unsafe. I really want to move there. My cousin Kisha tried to convince me to stay. I would have gone but out of state tuition was three times the price of regular tuition. I'll wait. Maybe for graduate school I will move to Houston but I'm not sure. Here are some pictures that I love from my Houston trip! I'll be back my loves! Until next time.

Lately.

I think this post is well over due.

Community college is almost over. 188 days to go! I am currently sitting at 4 B's and 1 A in my classes. My goal is to have 3 A's and 2 B's by the end of the semester which is December 8th. After I'm done with school in May, I plan on attending my local university for two years once I am done at my current community college. Did I mention my college just started the whole "Dean's List" thing? It came about in the summer and I was on it for my 3.5 GPA for the semester. Slowly, but surely, I am bringing up my GPA. I began at a 3.3 and failed all my classes bringing me down to a 2.7. Over the summer, I brought it up to a 2.9 and if I finish my classes with 3 A's and 2 B's then I'll be at a 3.0.

Work is not going so good. I quit the job I started here and now I'm at a clothing store as a cashier. I haven't started yet and I also have an interview at one of my previous jobs (the zoo) doing a different line of work. I didn't like the jewelry store. Some things people are good at and others, well, they aren't. I wasn't good at recommending pashmina scarves or helping people choose jewelry. They didn't even want me around a cash register. They had a proper way of how you speak to the customers when they walk in or at the register. It was just too much for a mall job. I'm not lazy but office jobs fit me more. That's exactly what I'll be doing at the zoo. 3 job shawty? Not at all. The clothing store and the zoo are both seasonal. My student worker job is part-time and pernanment. I actually need something else that's part-time and pernanment for when I graduate in May.

Dating hasn't been on my mind. My best friend recently had a baby by the girl he got with after me. Our relationship has become non-existent. My friends have been giving my number out to boys they think I might find cute but I'm over it. God will send someone when its time for me to be in a relationship but for now I think I'm good being single. Although Facebook is bringing up old statuses of my breakup from 3 years ago and reminding me of the pain I had from my ex ugh.

Health is good. At least I think. I'm not too sure if my death scare counts as unhealthy or not. But my mental health is great. I haven't been depressed in months.

Friends are treating me like they lost me. We realized that we're taking each other for granted and haven't really hung out at all these past few months so almost losing me was very scary. I'm glad I'm still here because I need to be there for them. I can't do that in spirit.

Life Lesson: My General Anesthesia Story

I'm not the one to write for sad reasons but something happened to me on Tuesday, October 25th, that I'll never forget.

It started off a pretty normal morning. I was scheduled to have my wisdom teeth extracted at 9 AM and I was a bit nervous. When we got there, I was quickly directed to a small, back room with my mom and instructed to sit in a chair and sign some papers. Afterwards, the procedure was explained to me by a doctor (I believe) or dental hygienist. I was asked questions about my health history which was pretty basic. I have no allergies and never had surgery. After we finished that talk, the guy inserted an IV into my hand that would be filled with general anesthesia, an oxygen nasal cannula was placed in my nose and I fell asleep about 6 minutes later before the numbing. What occurred next is something I never imagined would have happened to me.

Tuesday could have been my day. Apparently, I stopped breathing during the numbing of my mouth and the paramedics were immediately called in to revive me. Somehow, I regained consciousness before they began to resuscitate me. I didn't see a white light or any gates. Nope. I had a dream about Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump arguing over who gets the White House because Hillary had won. When I was woke up, I was shaking. One of the dental assistants asked me if I was cold and proceeded to put her jacket around me. I couldn't stop shaking. I was drowsy, scared and numb. A doctor (I'm for sure he was a doctor) was over me asking me questions like "how old are you? Who did you come here with today? What's your name?" He continued to tell me to stay awake although I was half asleep.

My mom was scared half to death. I remember the doctor saying "go get her mom" after I had awaken. She walked in with tears in her eyes, asking questions like "how could this have happened?" That's a good question. A very good question Mom. From what I gathered from the doctor, apparently my body had a reaction to general anesthesia and I lost consciousness from it. The doctor assured my mom that the next time they attempt to take out my wisdom teeth that it will be a local anethesia that will numb only my mouth and prevent any feeling in it instead of it affecting my whole body.

I don't know what went wrong but it did teach me a lesson and has shown me something. First, it taught me that every day isn't promised. A simple procedure could be the end of your life as you know it. I see why people are afraid of the dentist. I'd be too after my experience but I'm not. Lastly, I'm not living my life to the fullest. I am simply existing in the world. I don't party, I rarely drink, and I don't see my friends as much because I work so much. It all hit me at once. I'm not a normal 20-something year old. & I be damned if my last days end with regrets and "well, I didn't see her much." Starting today, I'm going to change my life around. I want the most out of life and its about time I get it and start living.

Score!

That's how I felt today when I landed two job offers in 10 minutes. Yesterday I had two interviews and I was feeling like I was doing bad in them both. To my surprise, I got to work today and received phone calls from both places. The places are a jewelry store in the mall and a museum.

It was tough deciding which one I would be spending my University time at but I eventually chose the jewelry store over a museum. The museum's pay was a dollar higher but I couldn't see myself selling anything to anyone such as memberships. I'm pretty bad at that although I sold myself in the interview to say that I could (hey, I'm desperate for a second job).

Overall, I'm okay with losing a dollar in pay. I may regret it a little but at least I know I'll be happy where I am doing something I can do.

That's all for now. Have a blessed week everyone! =)

Wash Day - Sept. 2016

Hey loves. Sundays are my favorites. I went and bought new hair products last week and kinda splurged on my gift cards at Rite Aid and the Dollar Store. However, today I'm using Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship shampoo and conditioner with Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist as a deep conditioner.

First off, when I was fully relaxed, Herbal Essences was my go to product. Shoot, it still is. I love the smell of this specific brand though. It smells great. Not too strong and not too light. I usually use Long Term Relationship when I want to straighten my hair because it seems like this shampoo and conditioner helped keep my hair straight. Today, I used it for a roller set.

The Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist is new for me. I just purchased it at my dollar store for $2. I've heard a lot of great things about it. To say the least, it didn't disappoint. When I squeezed the product into my hands and spread it throughout my hair, it instantly made my hair feel soft. I know I used a lot of moisture products this wash day but I followed up with Aphogee Keratin and Green Tea Restructurizer which is a protein leave-in conditioner. My hair reacts well to protein and I knew I was using a lot of moisture based products so I needed a little protein to mix in.

After all of that mumbo jumbo, I winded up using Cantu Shea Butter Coconut Curling Cream and water to set my perm rods. I decided that once a week I was going to set aside time to redo my perm rod sets so my hair is set for the week. My last perm rod set lasted me 5 days. It couldve been more but I ended up combing it out on the 6th day because I wanted a bun (which didn't happen). I only used 20 perm rods this time. Last time I used 24. I still have 24 left over because I accidentally bought too many.

I have sooo many new products to share with you all. However, I get lazy and forget to write about them. Until next time....

Transitioning Chicka

Hola sunshines! I'm back with another post. This one is more so about my hair than me though. If you've been following me on Twitter and Instagram you have seen that I've decided to go natural. By this I mean that I have decided to give up relaxers. If you don't know, relaxers are a cream containing a strong alkali that breaks down the hair to be permanently straight. It is generally used by African Americans with tight curls or very curly hair to straighten the hair with chemicals. I've had a relaxer for as long as I can remember. Its time to give them up and transition to natural.

Here's the few reasons I'm transitioning to natural:

1 // I want a change.

I'm tired of straight hair. I want to be naturally curly. What better way than to have my "own" curls? I usually do flexirod sets like to the left but I'm tired of having to manipulate my hair to be what it should have been from the beginning.

2 // I'm tired of scabs on my scalp.

I'm tired of scabs. God knows that hurts so bad when you get chemically burned on your scalp. It stays and sometimes its hard to get it to go away. I hate it.

3 // Stunned Growth

I feel like my hair doesn't grow any more than its current stay. I believe if I go natural then my hair will grow more and be more healthier. I think the chemicals is what is stunning my growth. Who knows where my hair could be right now?

4 // Hair Versatility

I can do whatever I want with my hair with no worries about it falling out or straightening back out. I can do twistouts, wear an afro, straighten my hair or do a perm rod set. The world is mine!

5 // It costs less.

Relaxers run you about $60 where I go. & there's no guarantee it will be as straight as I like it to be. I could be buying $60 in natural hair products and stylers. Or better yet I could be spending it on food. There ya go. Food is my answer.

These are a few reasons why I have chosen to go natural. I just want my hair to be healthy, curly and long. I miss my hair being long. & I don't know what my hair was before relaxers. I plan to transition for 30 months (2 years and 6 months). At least to reach a desired goal of hair length before I cut my relaxed ends off. I'm not going to lie to you, if I'm not curly headed I may be disappointed. I'm looking forward to type 3 hair. Even waves will do. When I think of my natural hair, I think of the right picture. I hope it's like that. We'll see though.

I'm also going without heat until April (my one year post relaxer). From now until then, I will be doing perm rod sets and flexirod sets. Currently, I am 5 months post relaxers (6 months on October 1st). As I go through this change in my life, I will be documenting my journey maybe every three months or so. Wish me luck!

Lately.

This will be my third post as a 22 year old. Its been THAT long. You're probably wondering "what the hell happened to her?" Well, I didn't have internet for a period of time. But I'm back! Here's what's new in my life!

I'm still in college. Most of my peers have graduated already but I will take a little bit longer and that's okay. This isn't a race. It's my life. I have a bunch of time to get this done. I have a plan now. Well, I'm going to graduate with my Associate in the Arts then transfer to my local university for Healthcare Administration. After graduating with my Bachelor's from there, I plan on getting my Master's in Business Administration with a specialty in Human Resource Management. I'm going to be the next Lisa Cuddy (House reference - I just found out exactly who she was and what she does lol). It's going to take some time but I like school so I don't see the issue. I graduate with my Associate's in Spring of 2017. I'm so ready for this. But I don't know if I'm mentally prepared for these next two semesters of 16 credit hours. Classes start August 22nd and I'm already nervous by some of the standards the professors holds us by. Some of them are outrageous.

Over the summer, I worked two jobs. The job I mentioned here and my previous campus job. Work has slowed down for me. I recently left the OG (the third job from here) to find a new second job. I only left because management was playing with my hours and I didn't like it. For now, I'm going to live off my campus job and my loan money until I can find something else to fill the void. I need to have two jobs to afford my car ugh.

Dating has gone so wrong for me. I tried to go on a date with this guy I found really mind stimulating but he gave me his number and doesn't reply to my texts or offers to go out. Its like he's not interested. But I don't understand why he'd give me his number if he wasn't. Boys are stupid. Case closed.

Health is swell. I haven't had a depression episode in a while. It feels great to be free of those. I feel like a completely different person. Like I can get back to the woman I was before the medication. I've even lost weight since my 2015 weight gain with the medication. Now only if I could eat right and get my stomach together. For now, I love myself.

Friends are iffy. I love them though.

I hope you're doing well.
Tweet me some time :)
I'm still around!

A to Z

I found this blog post on Kendel's blog and I loved it so much that I figured I'd give it a try. I enjoy questions and would love for my followers to know me a bit better so here we go!
A. Attached or Single? I am currently single but I'm still attached to my ex. I miss him a lot but that hasn't stopped me from hitting the dating scene.
B. Best Friend? I have three best friends. They know who they are so I do not feel the need to name names, ya know?
C. Cake or Pie? Definitely cake. Yum yum yum. I love wedding and graduation cake the most! We're celebrating things most people don't get to do in their lifetime!
D. Day of Choice? My favorite day is Sunday as well as Kendel's. Like she said, its a great day to relax and play catchup on assignments.
E. Essential Item? My iPhone. It means the world to me and I'd be completely lost with it. *Cues "Lost Without You" by Robin Thicke*
F. Favourite Colour? My favorite color is turquoise. I love that shade of blue so much.
G. Gummy Bears or Worms? I’m not a fan of both of those things. I was when I was little but currently, no. If I had to choose though, I'd go with bears.
H. Home town? Toledo. I hate the city. Ready to leave it.
I. Indulgence? Shopping. A girl has it bad! But I swear I only shop to relieve stress.
J. January or July? love January. What is cool about this is in America its Winter but in New Zealand, July is Winter. Hi Kendel!
K. Kids? I would love to have some. Maybe two - a boy and a girl. But I am deeply afraid of childbirth. So I don't see this happening too far into my future.
L. Life is not complete without…? Family and friends. They mean the absolute world to me.
M. Memory you cherish? The time Tiffany and I were down at her house at 2 or 3 in the morning discussing tattoos, boys and wedding songs while watching a scary movie. We stayed up all night talking about everything. I miss her so much. Rest in peace babygirl.
N. Numbers of brothers/sisters? I have one deceased brother who would have been 15 years old in this current day. I also have a half brother named Juan who turned 38 on the 13th. I wish I had more siblings because I wish I had that closeness to someone. But nope. Its just me and my lonely.
O. Oranges or Apples? Oranges! Apples take out teeth. Oranges are very sweet and delicious.
P. Pet Peeves? Drivers who don't use their turning signal, couples who sit on the same side of the booth when there is no one on the other side, and people who eat your food off your plate without permission. I probably have more but this sums it up a bit.
Q. Quotes? "When it comes down to it. I let people think what they want. And if they care enough to bother with what I do, I already know I'm better than them." This is by Marilyn Monroe. Its my favorite quote because in high school, it seemed like everyone was worried about what class I was skipping and who I was dating. Not only because they were nosy but because they were usually very negative about how I ran my life. Kinda like Marilyn Monroe. This quote speaks to me.
R. Reasons to smile? Class getting cancelled, getting in bed after a long day, pancakes, lazy days, receiving a good grade and receiving mail or special gifts you ordered yourself.
S. Season of choice? Fall and Spring. I couldn't choose. Its not too hot and not too cold.
T. Tea or Coffee? Tea. Especially sleepy-time tea. It puts me to sleep! & I love sleep.
U. Unknown fact about me? I'm pretty open so there's really nothing unknown about me :)
V. Vegetable? Corn. Absolute favorite.
W. Worst habit? Procrastinating. I'm the Queen of this.
X. X-Ray or Ultra-sound? Neither. Never had any of it.
Y. Your favourite trip? When I went to see Beyonce and Jay-Z in Cincinnati for the On The Run tour.
Z. Zodiac sign? Aries :p

8th Floor

Today I visited my best friend on the 8th floor.
A floor that's unspoken of in this generation.
A floor that terrifies most patients and visitors, including myself.
A floor that screams can be heard from down the hall.

Today I visited my best friend on the 8th floor.
She has a illness. I'm not sure if its curable.
She's Bipolar Type I. & I wish she wasn't.
These hospital visits are creepy... But I'm here for her.

Today I visited my best friend on the 8th floor.
It was pretty quiet. Visiting hours were from 5 pm to 7 pm.
We played uno and laughed a lot.
However, I wish she was home. Yelling at me
because I'm too impatient to wait on her reply.

But she's coming home.
& I cannot wait!

Lately.

I feel like I've been neglecting my little place on the internet and for that, I am sorry. Its just so much has been going on and I haven't really had time to type. But here's my Lately post that's well over due. Stick with me now ;)

College is good since I took the semester off. I've made the final decision to leave the medical assisting field for the nursing field. It was a tough decision. I've came so far with medical assisting but now I want to change my major and do something else. I don't know what it is. I enjoy learning and school. I hope I dont change my major anymore after this. I have a plan. My plan is to continue taking pre-req classes at my community college then transfer to a local university where I will finish my science classes then apply for their nursing program. I can't take anatomy at my current school nor can I join their RN program because of it (you only get three attempts). I'm fine by that. I want a bachelor's degree anyway.

Work is just peachy. I went through three jobs since 2016 began. This final job (currently the 3rd) is perfect for me. It keeps me busy and the coworkers are really nice. The first two I didn't like. I dreaded going to work and felt unappreciated there. I didn't like it and I was miserable. Thank God I found my current job but I got an offer to go back to my school job and I don't know whether to take on both or just stay with my current. Did I mention my current job is close to home? Maybe 10 minutes away.

I have a crush but I wouldn't say we're dating. Hell, he doesn't even know I like him. But I have been talking to him on a friend basis. We're "cool." I just need to get his number. He's cute, tall and smart. He goes to my current school and we've met before but I never spoke up. Lord knows how much I think about this boy. This is so weird. Feels like high school again. On another note, remember this guy? Well, he got with his ex the week after we broke up and she purposely got pregnant so now our friendship is kinda on the rocks. Things do change.

That about wraps things up in my life. I miss you all. How are you?

Frustrated Rant About Education

Education has been stressed to me as the most important thing in one's life. I've been told that school matters more than anything at my age. & I've been lead to believe this. Now as I try to better myself and go to school, I'm constantly hit with different obstacles that makes it nearly impossible for me to go to school.

School is expensive. In order to go to the college of my choice, I must pay $8300 out of pocket for tuition in 18 months. Its about $500 a month :( I cannot afford that with my part-time job. This is included with a car note and car insurance. Not even with all the loans I could take out (and be denied for) that I could afford this school. Heck or any other school according to their calculations. I currently hate my job and the thought of staying there any longer than a year truly upsets me. To think I can't afford an education so I'm stuck there really sucks. Im a sad cookie....

Just another setback I must overcome. I don't know what's next to come.

Why Dating Is So Wrong For Me.

I am ready to mingle and be single and be great. However, I can't. I'm in a bad spot at the moment. I am like the shyest person there is when it comes to someone I like of the opposite sex. I never know what to say and my high pitched voice seems like it becomes higher when I try to talk.

Around the person I like, I can't help but to be quiet. Usually thinking of what to say. Its a hard habit to break.

Maybe its the whole thing that I'm not outgoing.. Or maybe I'm afraid of rejection... Scratch that. I am afraid of rejection.. I am a beautiful girl with an ambitious, optimistic attitude. Yet I know my flaws and I tend to think that everyone else does too.

This is something I must work on, but I don't know how. Until then, my ass gone be single forever.

How I Passed the TEAS Test

Today I went in, took the test, and passed with flying colors. All my scores were great except Science. I just barely passed it but enough to get into the nursing program. So here begins my journey through practical nursing school.

But before I go, for those reading this because they don't know where to begin studying, I recommend a few things that I used or looked at.

Books:

1. McGraw-Hill Education 5 TEAS Practice Tests, 2nd Edition (or even the first edition because they're the SAME book) by Kathy Zahler. (I used this for a period of two weeks. The teas test resembled this book a lot!!)

2. Study Manual for the Test of Essential Academic Skills, Version 5: Reading, Mathematics, Science, English and Language Usage by Amanda Wolkowitz

3. Secrets of the TEAS® V Exam Study Guide: TEAS® Test Review for the Test of Essential Academic Skills by TEAS Exam Secrets Test Prep Team
PS. ALL of these books can be found on Amazon.com

Websites:

1. http://www.teaspracticetest.com/
(I found this one to be the most helpful of all the websites. Be sure to time yourself when doing the tests.)

Apps:

1. TEAS V Exam Prep 2015 for Iphone. (I used this for two weeks also. In the free version, it allowed you to take 10 question tests and it also allowed to set a countdown until test day. Moreover, it let you set a time for studying and gave you a quick question for every day you studied.)

I hope this helps. Let me know in the comments when your test date is!

Where have you been?

Where have I been is a very good question. I've been trying to get my life back together. In December, I lost basically everything: my school, my job and almost my car. They're all related. I lost my school due to failing all my classes which caused me to lose my job and without a job, I almost lost my car. I was so depressed with life but I hung in there.

Currently, I'm not in school. I'm shopping around to find a school that works for me. I found a job that will work around my schedule if I do decide to go back (which I have but at a different school). So, I guess you can say things are fine now. I can't wait until they begin to look up positively.

As far as school, I plan to get my LPN license first then go and get my RN via ADN or BSN. I wanted to get my BSN straight out but couldn't afford going to a university so I'm starting step by step as little as possible. I'm currently torn between two schools. For both schools, I must take the TEAS V test to begin paperwork for the program. I take the tests 2/4 & 2/5. Wish me luck!

I'll be back then to update you on the TEAS test and what I used to help me study. Feel free to follow me on Twitter for frequent updates =)

Goodbye 2015!

This year has been nothing but BAD to me. & I've been depressed too many times to count this year. I feel like there's no hope in getting better. Along with the depressed feelings and unwillingness to do anything, I was told by two advisors that I'd never be a good nurse and I should quit trying to change my major. I was also told that I would not be good at any other school and should just remain a medical assistant student.

My pride has been shot and my depression has worsen. I'm not on medication and I feel my anxiety taking over my life. I'm just rambling on and on but I have no one to talk to. I feel alone in this world. & everyone who's trying to help, I wind up pushing away. Just my luck. I gave up in school, gave up on life and next is giving up on work. I'm scared of this carefree, "I'd rather never leave my bed" attitude. But then again, no one is listening. All I have is my little space on the internet.

Return of the MACK!

Or diva. Whatever works. I like the title.

I had to take time to realize what I want in life. College has had me stressed out for some time now & to be honest, I don't think medical assisting is exactly what I should be doing. I should be doing more. Anatomy has had me on edge and my classes was extremely hard this semester on-top of dealing with my depression which is still out of wack, I kinda lost it.

How did I lose it, you ask? I'm failing out of school and this has been my worst semester yet. I haven't been to classes in weeks and not because I am a bad student, no. Its depression and anxiety. After talking with my grandmother, I decided that I need a break from school or a change in major. I'm 21 years old and I have no clue with what I want to do with my life. That leads me to my newest discovery.

Yesterday, I discovered that I want to be a nurse. Becoming a nurse allows me to interact with people, wear comfy scrubs and make a decent amount of money. All of the things thats important to me. If nursing doesn't work out, I may try becoming a private detective. But I'm positive nursing may be for me. However, there's pros and cons to my decision.

If I want to pursue nursing, I want to change schools and go to a school closer to home. This school will allow me to get my Associate's in Science which could be used for registered nursing. The pros are its closer to home, accredited, smaller classes, accepts my credits and not many more classes. It'll take me two years in the program or less since I have some of the credits already. I havent visited the school so I don't really know what to expect yet. The cons are its waaaaay more expensive than my current school because it is a private college. I don't know if I'll be able to afford it on my own. My current school has the program but has a long wait list to get into the program itself. If I take prereqs at my current school and in Fall of 2016 transfer to my new school, I should have all of anatomy done and have had my break from school during the summer. I just need to find a new job as soon as possible.

So there ya have it... I'm considering becoming a nurse.

From The Other Side....

It's a Friday night & as usual, my mind is racing.
"You're not good enough." "You're pathetic." "Give up."
The voices grow louder and louder.
I try to talk it out; to tell someone what's going on but no response.
It seems these days I'm losing the battle I so desperately need to conquer.
So there's just me and my demons.
& I must admit, they're winning.

Lately

I know I havent blogged in awhile. Feels great to be in your inbox again! I wanted to tell you what's new in my life. I haven't posted in awhile and I'll get to why in a minute or so. But for now, enjoy this post! Its with you in mind ;)

College is overwhelming. I chose to stay at my old school because they offered to allow me to retake Anatomy (which I am currently failing again). Today, I registered for my last three classes. I will graduate in May if I can pass Anatomy. I have devised a plan to obtain 349.5 points in the class to receive a C. All I have to do is pass my exams with 30/60 points and make sure that I do all the interactive assignments and answer the questions he gives us. College also has me stressed out because I am doing injections at the moment for class and its hard work trying not to hurt someone with a needle >_<

Work is bomb. I work 24 hours a week at one job and I am currently looking for a second job to help pay my car insurance and car note. Yes, ya'll, I have a car. I finally have a car that is not a lemon or deadbeat vehicle. It is a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt and it hasn't been named yet. I got it a week ago (Sept. 28) so no more riding the bus for me. I have 3 interviews this week with my first interview being one for an Apple Store (more deets coming soon). My next two interviews are on Thursday and I will fill you in on those as well as the Apple Store interview later. I didn't get the job (sad face), but I have interviews at Best Buy and a hospital near my home. Wish me luck because I definitely need a second job to be able to pay for my car insurance ($208 - like whaaaaat?!). Along with that, I want to volunteer to be a Big Sister at this organization called Big Brother, Big Sister. They match you with a Little that's identical in personality to you and you go around doing cool things as sister and sister or brother and brother. Being the only child, I havent been able to experience what it is like to have a sibling so this would be good for me plus its volunteer hours that I could probably use in the future.

I no longer date my best friend. It lasted a week. It wasn't working out. All he did was talk about sex and wanting it and I wasn't and still am not ready for all that. So dating is off the table. I'm more interested in my car and a second job than a boy right now.

I decided to leave off health and friends for today. For today, I want to tell you where I've been. I've been living. Well, trying to anyway. Usually I'm existing and I've grown tired of that. Recently, Sept. 11, I went to see Janet Jackson perform live (amazing concert). But I haven't blogged. I've felt like I haven't had anything to say or don't know what to say. I haven't had any topics just pop up in my head and I didn't know what to say to you guys about it. SO I took a hiatus from blogging. I'm not even sure that I'm back yet. I'm around though. Email me.

Oh yeah, here's a picture of my car and me the day I got to bring it home:

Lately.

I'm dropping out of college. Possibly. I'm giving it a lot of thought. I'm not graduating this May due to the fact I cannot pass Anatomy & Physiology pt2. I was advised to change my major. I was told I cannot take Anatomy anymore and its just best if I start over in another major. That broke my heart. Hell, I began looking into other schools. I found one that I like but the only problem is my job is connected to my current college. If I leave my current school, I won't start school again until October. This other school is willingly to take most of my credits so all I will do with them is take clinical classes. I'm torn between the two and don't really know what to do. It has done nothing but caused me stressed. I have until the 23rd to make up my mind. Pray for me.

I havent been to work in a week and its driving me crazy. I need a car. That way I can be at work and dont have to depend on public transportation to get me to and from somewhere. I also need to find another job so if I transfer schools.

When your best friend becomes your boyfriend, you cannot help but say yes when he asks to date you. SOO we're giving this a try as of Thursday night (the 13th).
Of course, I didn't believe it so my response was:
There's not very much to say since this relationship is still fairly new.

Health isn't too good. Doctors think I may have an overactive thyroid and my mental health has been entirely crummy. I'm currently on suicide watch because of my built up stress but its tearing me apart. Living with a mental illness is NOT easy.

My niece is officially a month old. I'd like to introduce you to my friend's daughter, Amina. She's a doll and she has my heart.

Where I've Been.

Between looking for a new, higher paying job and the thought of switching colleges, I have completely abandoned my little space on the internet. I miss it. I just don't know what to blog about these days. & I'm sorry for that. & I'm really sorry for this post but I need to vent. I'm tired of having this bottled in:

I'M SO SICK OF COLLEGE!

Once again, I've been played but this time by a place that's supposed to educate me. I'm six classes away from my Associate's Degree but that means nothing because I cannot pass Anatomy & Physiology 2. I failed it twice and I only had two tries to take it. I've currently been blocked from taking it which means I need to change my major to a nonhealth related major. Its either I switch majors or switch schools.

It hurts because I've come so far just to be told I have to stop or start-over. All that wasted money. This school was the worst decision ever and now I'm paying for it. To make things worse, I don't know what I want my major to be. This has got to be the hardest decision in my life. & there's no one to talk to about it. No one to help me with my decision. There's just me. & as much as I pray for a directional signal, nothing has come yet. Woe is me.
