I cannot say I loved this show from the jump, but it grew heavily on me. I can't remember when I began watching it but it was less than a few months ago. I'm ADDICTED. I've seen just about EVERY episode and still look forward to new ones. TBS plays episodes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and sometimes during the weekends. CBS plays new episodes on Thursday nights at 8 PM. Let me introduce you to the cast of The Big Bang Theory and give you some of my insight on it. The show is centered around these five characters:. First, there is the roommates Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons). Living across the hall is The Cheesecake Factory waitress and aspiring actress, Penny (Kaley Cuoco). Leonard's and Sheldon's friends, Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) and Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar) are the last two main characters. They make up a lot of the show. Like Sheldon and Leonard, they are as equally geeky. Well... everyone has a Ph.D. and may be called "doctor" except for Howard who has a Masters in Engineering.
Other characters come into play but these are the main ones. I love this show because INTELLIGENCE IS SEXY (duhh). Some people think the show is for "extra" smart people. Not true. Its witty at times! When I saw the first episode I thought "ugh, please don't make the blonde stupid." It eventually got better. Penny begin to catch on to things. Like when Sheldon wants to talk about sexual intercourse, he says "coitus." I must say because of The Big Bang Theory, I got the medical term for sexual intercourse (coitus) correct because I remembered Sheldon saying it. Hehe. One of my favorite episodes is when Sheldon goes on a date with Amy Farrah Fowler and brings Penny along. Sheldon is a bit picky. He makes it known he doesnt like girls like that. Howard and Raj input Sheldon's information onto an internet dating site that matched him to Amy (this wasnt to Sheldon's knowledge). Sheldon and Amy both avoid relationships. She only wants to go on a date to fulfill an agreement she made with her mom about dating once a year. If Amy fulfills her half, her mother promises not to bring up her lack of a love life (same here Amy!). Anyway, if you can understand some Science, the show will be funny to you. If not, well your loss. I think people should give it a try before judging it.
Here's the best of Sheldon! BAZINGA!
