I would first like to thank my friend, Diamond, for reading my stories and providing me with helpful feedback. Even then, she was my proof reader and pushed me to write the best possible short story that I could. She even asked for a part two (who knows if I was worthy of a part one lol). I appreciate her so much for her reassurance in my writing abilities. I am extremely proud of her as she is currently a junior at Howard University ;D
Next up is my friend and former classmate, DaShawn. I would like to thank him for his encouraging words and uplifting lectures. I appreciate every poem, letter, speech and text he sent me through all of my hardships. He has been there through some gruesome times and was there to cheer for me as I got back into writing. There was a point in time when I gave up everything I loved and refused to continue and he gave me a reason to keep going. I thank him so much for being my backbone! That's what friends are for, right? I am also proud of DaShawn for attending Wittenberg University and continuing on with his music which you can listen to here.
I would also like to add that Kendel's little space on the internet inspired mine and I thank her dearly for her blog (and its posts!) I googled "blogs written by teens" or something like that and hers along with a few others popped up. The others had been abandoned years ago but hers had not. Seemingly, I read through her blog and realized how much I could relate to her. She gave me the confidence to post about everything that you read here. Never had I ever imagined I'd meet my long lost sister from another country through blogging. But I did. She's frankly amazing and if you do not believe me, check out her blog right here.
Without these three, I'm not sure my little blog would be in existence right now. I probably would have never realized my passion for writing if it had not been for their faith and inspiration. For that, I am forever grateful to them.
